The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will open in the second quarter（季度）this year, people familiar（熟悉的）with the matter told China Daily.

Although a precise date has not been fixed（确定）, the bridge will start services officially around May to June, according to the sources（来源）.

The final commissioning（通车）date will partially（部分地）depend on the construction（建设）progress（进度）of port facilities（设施）in Zhuhai and Hong Kong.

The Macao checkpoint（口岸）is more likely to be completed earlier considering its rate of progress, according to the sources.

Meanwhile, policies for cross-border（跨境）traffic have yet to be reached among the governments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region（香港特别行政区）, Guangdong province and the Macao SAR（澳门特别行政区）.

This includes the details（细节）of the cross-administration management mechanism（跨行政管理机制）like customs arrangements（海关安排）, emergency rescue（紧急救援）plans and cross-border car insurance（保险）arrangements.
